The description of check of boots of the parking brake is provided in the Section Check of Boots of the Parking Brake.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Measure the internal diameter of a brake disk. Compare the received values to requirements of Specifications of the Head the Brake system and if necessary replace a disk. The disk should be replaced and in the presence on it mechanical damages or uneven wear.

Measure a gap between the intermediate lever and a boot of the parking brake and compare the received value to requirements of Specifications of the Head the Brake system. If necessary adjust a gap, having picked up a suitable washer (see Specifications the Brake system).

Take by means of the screw-driver an adjusting washer and a washer with a cut. Establish an adjusting washer of the required thickness, and then by means of nippers install the lever and a washer with a cut. Again check a gap between the intermediate lever and a boot of the parking brake.

Dismantling and assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove a back wheel, turn out two bolts of fastening of a bracket of a support and remove assembly of the back brake mechanism then reliably enshrine it in the suspended provision.

Do not overwind and do not load a brake hose.

If the disk does not manage to be removed, turn the regulator of boots so that the wheel could rotate freely.

Remove two returnable springs of boots by means of nippers.
Disconnect a coupling spring from a forward boot.
Shift a forward boot and remove the regulator.
Remove an expansion plate with a spring.
Remove saddles of clamping springs, springs and the holder of a back brake boot.
Disconnect a cable of the drive of the parking brake from the intermediate lever.
Assembly is made upside-down. Grease with high-temperature lubricant the components designated by shooters.

After installation of the parking brake adjust a gap of his boots. For this purpose:
- Temporarily establish wheel nuts;
- Turn out a stopper from a brake disk;
- Turning the regulator, part boots before blocking of a brake disk;
- Return the regulator on 8 tags in the opposite direction and screw a stopper.

Earn extra brake boots with a disk. For this purpose squeeze out a pedal of the parking brake with effort of 147 N and in this situation be passed on the car on distance about 400 m with a speed about 50 km/h. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times.
In conclusion again check and adjust the course of a pedal of the drive of the parking brake (see the Section Check and adjustment of the course of pedals of the working and parking brake).
