Instrumentations

Speedometer

The speedometer is located in the central part of a combination of devices and shows the speed of the movement of the car in km/h (miles/h).

In a rupture of the dial of a speedometer the index of a run is placed.

Index of a run

The index of a run can work in one of three modes: the odometer (registers the general vehicle mileage from the moment of input it in operation) and one of two indexes of a run from the moment of zeroing of indications. For switching between the modes quickly press the corresponding button (No. 7) located to the left of the index. By each pressing the modes will change in the following sequence: the odometer, the dumped counter A, the dumped counter B, the odometer, etc.

The dumped counters of a run work independently from each other and can be used, for example, for calculation of fuel consumption and for measurement of the passable distance. For dropping one of counters transfer the index of a run to the mode of its display, then press and hold the switching button between the index modes.

The dumped counters of a run are nullified at a detachment of wires from the rechargeable battery.

Tachometer

The tachometer is to the right of a speedometer and shows the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine in thousands of revolutions per minute.

The tachometer is intended for control over turns of the engine and for avoiding of operation of the engine on too low or too high turns (when the arrow reaches a red zone of a scale).

Index of a reserve of fuel

The index of a reserve of fuel is located in the left lower part of a combination of devices and serves for visual monitoring of a reserve of the fuel remaining in a tank.

The error of indications of the index of a reserve of fuel is minimum when the car holds strictly horizontal position, and increases at movement of the car along twisting or hilly roads. Functioning of the index does not depend on position of the ignition key. The tag of "F" corresponds to a condition of full gas station, "E" – an empty tank. Located to the right of the KL dial with the image of the gas station informs the driver on need at the first opportunity to make refueling of the car.

At full emptying of the fuel tank MIL can light up.

Index of temperature of the engine

The index of temperature of the engine is located in the left top part of a combination of devices and serves for visual representation of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine. The index works only if the ignition key is in the provision of "ON".

Movement of an arrow of the index to the mark "H" indicates an overheat of the engine which can lead to its damage. In this case it is necessary to stop the movement, to switch off To/in (if it was included) and to wait for cooling of the engine. Check the level of cooling liquid, check the cooling system for existence of leaks if necessary eliminate them and add OZh.

Control lamps and indicators

The whole complex of control lamps and indicators by means of which the driver obtains important information on serviceability/violation of functioning of the main units and systems of the car is built in assembly of a combination of devices of the car. Some To/L are built in the switches located on the dashboard (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement of Elements of Management on the dashboard).

Below the list and the description To/L, the devices which are built in a combination is provided.

Light indicators of indexes of turns and alarm system. The speeded-up operating mode of indicators indicates possible failure of one of lamps of indexes of turns.

CRUISE — To/L a tempostat. Burns at the included tempostat and it is switched off at its deactivation. If in operating time of a tempostat To/L begins to blink, switch off and again include темпостат. If the blinking does not stop and also if To/L does not join or does not die away, address on HUNDRED for the solution of this problem.

ABS — Given To/L serves for control of serviceability of functioning of ABS, quickly works at inclusion of ignition and in several seconds has to die away. The refusal of a lamp of shutdown, and also its activation during the movement demonstrates violation of serviceability of functioning of ABS. The car should be driven away immediately on HUNDRED for performing diagnostics and performance of necessary recovery repair.

ECT
PWR — Given To/L points to work of AT in the POWER mode.

ECT
SNOW — Given To/L points to work of AT in the SNOW mode.

O/D
OFF — Given To/L lights up at switching off of the O/D mode.

To/L the low pressure of motive oil, - lights up in case of pressure of the motive oil insufficient for normal operation of the engine. If given To/L lights up during the movement of the car, at the first opportunity stop and kill the engine. Check the level of motive oil and if necessary modify it. If at the normal level of KL oil all the same does not die away, address on HUNDRED.

To/L system of charging, quickly works at inclusion of ignition and has to die away several seconds later after implementation of start of the engine. The refusal of a lamp of shutdown demonstrates existence of malfunction in system of charging. In this case check and if necessary adjust a tension of a driving belt of the generator. If the belt is tense correctly, malfunction consists in an electrical wiring of system of a charge. Address on HUNDRED for the solution of this problem.

To/L not fastened seat belt of the driver, reminds that the driver forgot to be fastened by a seat belt. The indicator continues to burn until the belt is not fastened. Turning on of this indicator is followed by a sound reminder which will sound within about six seconds.

BRAKE To/L the low level of brake liquid / refusals of brake system / indicator of raising of the parking brake. The indicator of raising of the parking brake turns on if the ignition key is in position of ON or START, and the parking brake is cocked. At an otpuskaniye of the parking brake the indicator has to be switched off. Inclusion To/L the low level of brake fluid happens at inclusion of ignition then To/L has to go out. Otherwise it is necessary to check the level of brake fluid in the tank, and also hydraulic lines of the brake system for existence of leaks.

The movement on the car with the faulty brake system is inadmissible.

Given To/L points to the low level of fuel in a tank and reminds of what follows as soon as possible will refuel.

To/L an open door joins if at least one of doors of the car is not closed.

Given To/L serves for confirmation of inclusion of headlights.

Given To/L serves for confirmation of inclusion of driving beam of headlights.

P, R, N, D, 2, L — Indicators of position of the lever of the AT selector are used are rowed vertically, to the left of a speedometer.

To/L refusals (MIL, "Check the engine") quickly works at inclusion of ignition and has to die away several seconds later after implementation of start of the engine. The refusal of a lamp of shutdown, and also its activation during the movement demonstrates violation of serviceability of functioning of a control system of the engine.

To/L system of additional safety (SRS) lights up at inclusion of ignition approximately for 6 seconds and has to die away right after implementation of start of the engine. If it does not occur or if the lama continues to burn at the working engine, the SRS system, any of components, it is faulty (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS)). Address on HUNDRED for elimination of such malfunction.

If To/L malfunction of back lamps lights up at turning on of external lighting fixtures, it demonstrates that one of lamps of marker lights failed. If given To/L lights up when pressing a brake pedal, any lamp of stoplights failed.

AT OIL
TEMP — Given To/L points to ATF overheat. If given To/L lights up during the movement of the car, at the first opportunity stop, transfer the AT selector lever to situation "P" and let's work to the engine until To/L does not go out. Check the ATF level and if necessary modify it. If at the KL normal ATF level all the same does not die away, address on HUNDRED.

Given To/L points to the low level of liquid of washers of glasses.

TRAC
OFF — To/L of the VSC system joins for several seconds at inclusion of ignition and in the absence of malfunctions in the VSC system dies away. The blinking of this To/L testifies to malfunction of VSC. To/L VSC joins as well at compulsory switching off of system by means of the switch on the dashboard (No. 14 on the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement of Elements of Management on the dashboard).

Given To/L lights up at operation of the VSC system, i.e. at detection of slipping of one of wheels.
