Adjustment of seats and head restraints

Provision of seats and head restraints

The design of seats of the car guarantees the maximum comfort to the person sitting in them, at the same time providing conditions of the most effective implementation of the functions with belts and safety cushions. Soft stuffing of pillows and backs provides additional protection of the driver and passengers in emergencies.

The choice of provision of a seat also exerts impact on safety of the person sitting in it. For example, at the excessive shift of a front seat the risk of the traumatizing sitting at operation of a safety cushion, and also risk of ejection through a windshield at head-on collision increases forward.

Increase in an inclination of a seatback will worsen fixing of a body a seat belt, - the more the back is rejected back, the probability of slipping of a body of the belt sitting under zone section at strong front blow is higher, and the heavier can be traumatized.

Record a front seat in the most remote (convenient for driving implementation) from a steering wheel / dashboard situation, bring a back into vertical position.

Head restraints prevent traumatizing cervical department of a backbone and head at blow behind. The head restraint should be adjusted on height so that its top cut was flush with the upper edge of the ear sitting.

Adjustment of front seats

Adjustment of front seats is made by means of the switches located on the lower part of pillows of seats.

Do not operate at the same time with several switches since it can lead to an overheat and failure of the mechanism of adjustment.

For lifting and change of a tilt angle of a head restraint just pull it in the corresponding direction; for lowering – press not a clamp and lower a head restraint.

Settings of two versions of the provision of a seat of the driver can be brought in memory of the on-board computer.
For this purpose the ignition key has to be in the provision of "ON", and the AT selector lever – in situation "P". Adjust the provision of a seat and, holding the SET button, press the 1 or 2 button on the block of switches of setting up the provision of a driver's seat (No. 17 on the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement of Elements of Management on the dashboard). In confirmation of successful record of settings the short sound signal has to sound. Similarly the second option of setting up the provision of a seat registers. For rewriting of settings act besides in the way described above.
For installation of sitting of the driver in the situation which is stored in memory just press the button with number corresponding to the required option of settings. If not required settings are incidentally chosen, it is possible to stop movement of a seat pressing the necessary button or pressing a brake pedal.

Adjustment and folding of back seats

For adjustment of provision of pillows and a tilt angle of backs of back seats pull for the corresponding clamps and move a seat to required position then release clamps and are convinced of that, they returned to a starting position.

Slightly it is possible to incline a back of a back seat having moved a seat back forward.

For increase in volume of the luggage compartment the possibility of folding of a back seat is provided. Previously put away seat belts from a pillow of a back seat. Completely lower a head restraint, pull one hand the corresponding back clamp close to a head restraint up, and other hand incline a back forward and put it.

Do not pull for a clamp not to break it. Do the procedure described above for other party of a seatback.

Adjustment of height of head restraints of back seats is made similar to adjustment of head restraints of front seats.
