Removal, check and installation of the amplifier of brakes

Components of installation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes

1 — the Collar
2 — the Vacuum hose
3 — Laying
4 — the Vacuum amplifier

5 — the Bracket
6 — the Returnable spring
7 — the Pin
8 — the Forelock
9 — the Holder

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Squeeze out a pedal of a working brake several times at the switched-off engine and make sure that the course of a pedal does not change.
  2. Squeeze out a pedal of a brake and start the engine. If the pedal slowly falls, the vacuum amplifier is serviceable.
  3. Start the engine and muffle it through 1÷2 minute. Slowly squeeze out a brake pedal several times. If the pedal is deeply pressed the first time, and in the second or third attempt its course gradually decreases, the amplifier is tight.
  4. At the working engine squeeze out a pedal of a brake and, without releasing it, kill the engine. In confirmation of tightness of the vacuum amplifier the pedal should not change the course in 30 seconds of its keeping.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove GTTs (see the Section Removal and installation of the tank and main brake cylinder (MBC)).
  2. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum amplifier.
  3. Release three tubes from the holder (9).
  4. Remove a returnable spring.
  5. Take the forelock and take out a pin.
  6. Give 4 nuts and remove a bracket.
  7. Remove the amplifier together with laying.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish the amplifier with new laying.
  2. Establish a bracket on a rod of the amplifier.
  3. Tighten nuts of fastening of the amplifier with effort of 13 Nanometers.
  4. Insert a pin into a bracket and a pedal of a working brake and record it the forelock.
  5. Establish a returnable spring of a pedal of a brake.
  6. Establish new laying on GTTs.
  1. Install special adaptation on laying and lower adaptation core until a contact with the piston.
  1. Remove special adaptation from GTTs and establish on the amplifier.
  1. Measure a gap between a rod of the amplifier and a core of special adaptation, - it has to make 0 mm.
  2. Adjust a ledge of a rod of the amplifier so that his end slightly concerned a core of special adaptation.

You make adjustment in the absence of the negative pressure attached to the amplifier (for this purpose at the killed engine several times squeeze out a brake pedal to level pressure in the amplifier with atmospheric pressure).

  1. Establish GTTs, connect a vacuum hose to the amplifier, record brake lines in the holder.
  2. Fill the tank with brake fluid, pump over the brake system and check it for leaks.
  3. Adjust a pedal of a working brake (see the Section Check and adjustment of the course of pedals of the working and parking brake). Make a trial trip.
