Removal and installation

Components of a back power shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove corresponding back wheels.
  2. Turn out two bolts and remove back section of an exhaust pipe together with laying.
  3. Turn out a bolt and remove ABS speed sensor.
  4. Take a pin, take off the fixing cap and turn out a stupichny nut.
  5. Apply tags on the case of the tripodny hinge and on a flange of back differential.
  6. Turn out 4 nuts, remove washers and disconnect a power shaft from differential.
  7. Remove a power shaft from the holder.
  8. Installation is made upside-down. Tighten fixture with the required efforts, after installation check serviceability of functioning of ABS sensors, and also check and if necessary adjust the angles of installation of back wheels.

Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check power shafts:
    • External hinges should not have excessively big side play;
    • Make sure of smoothness of the movement of the internal hinge in the direction of a support;
    • Make sure of lack of excessively big side play of internal hinges in the radial direction;
    • Check protective covers for existence of damages.
  2. By means of the screw-driver remove collars of protective covers of hinges.
  1. Apply tags on the case of the tripodny hinge and on a power shaft and remove the hinge case from a power shaft.

Do not use a chisel for drawing tags.


  1. Remove a lock ring and apply tags on the tripodny hinge and on a power shaft.

Do not use a chisel for drawing tags.

  1. Bring down the hammer and a pig from soft metal the tripodny hinge from a power shaft.
  2. Remove protective covers with collars.
  3. The external hinge is not subject to dismantling.
  4. Fix a power shaft in a vice with soft sponges and by means of the screw-driver and the hammer bring down a boot No. 2 from a shaft, trying not to damage ABS speed sensor rotor.

Do not damage ABS speed sensor rotor.

Assembly

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Napressuyte a new boot No. 2 on a shaft.
  1. Temporarily establish new covers of hinges with collars.

Before installation of protective covers wind vents of a power shaft with a vinyl tape to prevent their damage.

  1. Place on a power shaft the tripodny hinge a conical part to the external hinge and level adjusting tags of the hinge.
  2. Napressuyte the hinge on a power shaft by means of the hammer and a pig from soft metal. Establish a lock ring.
  3. Fill in a cover of the internal hinge 180 ÷ 190 of of yellow lubricant, level adjusting tags of the case of the hinge and fix the case to differential.
  4. Fill in a cover of the external hinge 107 ÷ 117 of of gray lubricant.
  1. Make sure that covers come into grooves on driving to a shaft and are not deformed with a standard length of a shaft.
  1. Fix protective covers by collars, having tightened them the screw-driver.
